Hello! I’m Taylor, owner of Sweet Magnolia Occupational Therapy and Registered Occupational Therapist, supporting children and families around York Region and across Ontario. I started this practice in response to gaps I consistently saw in pediatric care—especially around access, flexibility, and practical, real-life support for families.
Why I Started This Practice
Many families were facing:
- Long waitlists for both public and private services
- Limited access to flexible or single-session support
- Therapy that didn’t always translate into daily home routines
- Financial barriers to ongoing care
I wanted to create a service that felt more accessible, responsive, and grounded in real family life.
That’s why this practice focuses on:
- Same-week and consultation-based support options
- Flexible service tiers (virtual, in-home, group, and caregiver education)
- Strong parent coaching and education so strategies actually carry over into daily routines
As a sole practitioner, I also offer consistent, one-on-one therapeutic relationships that can help build trust and comfort—especially for young children or those who struggle with new environments.
My Approach
My work is family-centered and practical.
That means:
- We focus on what matters most in your child’s daily life
- You are actively involved in the process
- Strategies are designed to be realistic and usable at home, not just in session
I aim to keep therapy:
- clear
- accessible
- and grounded in everyday routines
What I Can Help With
Support is always individualized, but may include:
- Self-regulation and sensory needs
- Feeding support
- School readiness skills (printing, routines, transitions)
- Self-care skills (toileting, dressing, sleep)
- Executive functioning (attention, organization, follow-through)
I work with children across a wide range of ages (0–18), so if you’re unsure whether OT is appropriate, you’re welcome to reach out.
